On the Surface: Contemporary Ceramics

With a lack of physical gallery space for object labels, On the Surface required a digital guide to provide exhibition and object information to visitors. This approach also provided the opportunity to include additional detail photography of objects, a glossary of ceramics terms, and related video content.

Brendan Campbell ✳ Design & Art Direction

A graduate of the Massachusetts College of Art & Design, I have been working as a graphic designer and art director for over 18 years. For the past 12 years I have been an in-house designer at the RISD Museum in Providence, RI—working on a vast array of projects from exhibitions and publications, to marketing, web design, wayfinding and video.

My work has been recognized by the Type Director’s Club, Print Magazine, the Society for Experiential Graphic Design, the Webby Awards, and the Association of Art Museum Curators.
