Drawn from more than 25 nations across the Americas, Asia, Europe, and Africa, the objects in Trading Earth focus on the global trade of consumable commodities and the works made to store, serve, and ingest them.
With over 200 objects on display and very little room for labels, a digital gallery guide was produced that allowed label text, object images and contextual information to be accessed. In addition to the guide, an audio experience (Soundwalk) offered deeper interpretation and narrative content.
